2 years old!

So I've totally neglected this little blog.  Ben keeps me insanely busy during the day and work has been busy at nights.  BUT Benjamin is 2 years old now, so time to at least update with pictures (for those of you without Facebook, since I post a crapton of pictures there). 


Ben was sick the day of his birthday, running a 103 fever, poor guy.  But once the motrin kicked in he was his old self again and we took him to Fred Meijer Gardens to see the Butterfly exhibit.  He LOVED it!  He was fascinated with the whole thing.

Then we came home and after nap he was feeling worse, so we had a quiet dinner and birthday cake that he didn't touch.  But he did love blowing out his candles, so we did that about 10 times to make him feel better.  Totally worked :P

A few days later we had his birthday party at the house - lots of friends and family.  We are so blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives who love us.  Most everyone drove 2 hours to be here for the party, and we are so thankful they came!  Ben had a blast with his friends too :)

And at his check up Ben was 33 1/2 inches tall and 30.8 pounds!  the doctor was impressed that he is potty trained too.  If you asked me a year ago if I expected Ben to be potty trained and sleeping in a big boy bed I'd have said no way.  But he's growing WAY too fast before our eyes.  And we couldn't love him any more <3
